HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS 2020/21 OFF SEASON/WINTER PROGRAMS
In line with Governor Lamont’s recent mandates, the WLA has coordinated some Off-season Programing opportunities to begin in late January. The WLA will continue to closely monitor the situation and make any necessary adjustments. If you are able to participate, please sign up.
1. PTP of Wilton -Fitness Training
(Located in Wilton Stop & Shop Plaza)

Tuesday or Friday Sessions Weekly -Cost per session $111.67

Tuesdays: 7:35 pm or 8:45pm
- Jan 26, Feb 2, 9, (no class 2/16), 23 March 2, 9 & 16
Fridays: 5:00pm or 6:15pm
- Jan 29, Feb 5, 12, (no class 2/19), 26, March 5, 12 & 19
2. Mary Zengo & Bonnie Sheehan Fitness Training
(Registration is thru Wilton Parks and Rec eTrack system. CLICK HERE then follow the prompts to "Register" -> "Parks & Rec" -> "HS Prep Conditioning")
Girls HS Preseason Lax Conditioning: Geared towards High School players, girls who want to improve their fitness base and be prepared for tryouts. Program will teach form drills and develop cardiovascular, muscular and core endurance. Sessions include a warmup, dynamic drills, workout (geared towards tryouts), then a cool down. Injury prevention exercises will also be included.
Place: Meeting OUTSIDE the HS Field House for temperature check - Turf for workouts.
Times: SESSION 1 -Monday Afternoons 3:30 - 4:30PM & Wednesday Afternoons 2:00 - 3:00pm
SESSION 2 -Monday Afternoons 4:45 - 5:45PM & Wednesday Afternoons 3:15 - 4:15pm
Dates:
February 8th, 10th, 22nd, 24th
March 1, 3, 8, 10th, 15th, 17th (make up will be Friday morning or afternoon)
Price: $230 max number of athletes is 24 with a 12 to 1 ratio trainer to athlete. Based on the Health Dept. guidelines.
3. SONO LEAGUE PLAY
This program is being first offered to all Seniors and Juniors with priority to RETURNING Varsity and JV High School PLAYERS as spaces are limited. Once a team is established, the WLA will send out a separate link with payment information.
SONO League play allows players & school programs a chance to gear up for the upcoming spring season with competitive game play in the winter.
- Full Field Games
- Saturdays between 1:00p-8:00pm
- January 23, 30 February 6, 13, 20, 27
- (2) - 25 minute halves
- SONO provides refs
-12v12 games

4. Winter II SONO FIELD HOUSE LACROSSE CLINIC
Girls HS Lacrosse Clinic to prepare for upcoming season. Skills will focus on stick work, dodging, shooting and drills will try to be as socially distant as possible.
This program is limited to 45 players.

FOR ALL WINTER OFF SEASON PROGRAMS
Anyone not feeling well or with possible COVID-19 exposure should not attend.
DO NOT COME TO SESSION:
- If sick this includes, but is not limited to:
- Fever over 100 degrees
- Flu like symptoms
- Gastro- intestinal issues
- Loss of taste or smell
- Exposure to any individual diagnosed positive to COVID -19 without taking appropriate quarantine restrictions.
- Exposure to any individual (particularly a family member or babysitter) SUSPECTED to be positive of COVID-19 until you are able to rule out the risk of COVID-19
- Travel within the past 14 days to any state on the CT Restricted Travel Advisory List (https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/travel)
NO SPECTATORS...This is a REQUIREMENT to using the facility.
DRESS IN CAR - enter facility dressed and prepared for play
PLAYERS WEAR FACE MASKS -
EQUIPMENT BAGS NOT ALLOWED in facility
CLEARLY LABEL WATER BOTTLE- with name (NO water will be available at the facility)
NO CONTACT: No Fist Bumps/Handshakes etc
SOCIAL DISTANCE before/after and during water breaks
NO HANGING AROUND - exit facility promptly at end of session
Players are required to wear a face mask while playing, exercising, and coming on/off field per CT State mandate.
